The department’s goal is to ensure safe working conditions at UNEC, prevent accidents, and monitor compliance with occupational safety regulations.
The Occupational Health and Technical Safety Department oversees the establishment and functioning of systems aimed at protecting the life and health of employees during their work activities, including legal, socio economic, technical, sanitary and hygienic, preventive and medical, organizational, rehabilitative, and other measures. The Department monitors compliance with occupational safety standards, ensures the provision of safe working conditions,
oversees adherence to the requirements of occupational health and safety and technical safety instructions, conducts certification of workplaces in terms of occupational safety, ensures that employees are provided with collective and personal protective equipment, and supervises the implementation of related measures. In addition, the Department exercises control over employees’ compliance with fire safety regulations within the university.
