The Department applies the “3R” principle in human resource management, namely right time, right position, and right person, meaning the timely placement of the right employee in a suitable position.
Throughout the entire period of the University’s existence, the Department operated as the Personnel Department and has been functioning as the Human Resources Department since 6 June 2014. The key characteristics of the Department’s activities are based on values and attitudes aligned with the strategic goals of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics and expected from all employees of the University. These values include integrity, quality, knowledge, humanism, and sustainable development.
The main responsibilities of the Department include ensuring that the University is staffed with qualified, competent, and professional personnel in accordance with the University’s human resources policy; organizing training and professional development activities to enhance employees’ professional skills, theoretical knowledge, and competencies; fostering a strong team spirit within the University; improving staff motivation through meeting their material, moral, and social needs; increasing productivity; and strengthening employees’ commitment to the University.
