Khalid Nuraddin oghlu Ahadov was born on 4 February 1980.
In 2002, he graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a Master’s degree in Finance and Credit. In 2012, he obtained a degree in Business Administration from the Instituto de Empresa (IE) Business School in Spain, and in 2019, he obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the London School of Economics (LSE), United Kingdom.
He began working in the banking sector in 1999.
He held various managerial positions at Bank of Baku (1999-2012) and Unibank (2012-2016). He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of Ateshgah Insurance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Millikart Processing Center.
In 2016, he served as Chairman of the Management Board of AzerTurkBank, and from December 2016 to March 2018, he served as Chairman of the Management Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (ABB). He was elected a member of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan Banks Association.
Since 28 August 2018, he has been serving as Assistant to the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and since 17 November 2022, he has been serving as Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on socio-economic affairs.
He is a member of the Supervisory Boards of the Economic Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ABB OJSC, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, and Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation OJSC, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC.
He speaks English, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.
He is married and has three children.
