Karam Hasanov

Karam Avaz oghlu Hasanov was born on 2 August 1969 in the Jalilabad district of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1986, he was admitted to the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy named after Dadash Bunyadzada.
He completed compulsory military service in Moscow in 1988-1989.
In 1992, he graduated with distinction from the Azerbaijan State Economic Institute (formerly the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy named after Dadash Bunyadzada), earning a degree in Economics.
From 1992 to 2000, he served at the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Anti-Monopoly Policy and Support to Entrepreneurship, advancing through the ranks from Specialist to Head of Department.
Between 2000 and 2001, he served as Deputy Director, Director of Department, and subsequently Deputy Minister at the Ministry of State Property of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From 16 September 2001 to 16 September 2005, he held the position of Director of the Department for State Property Management and Privatization under the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Pursuant to the Presidential Decree dated 16 September 2005, the Department for State Property Management and Privatization was separated from the Ministry of Economic Development, and the State Committee for Property Management of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established on its basis. Karam Hasanov was appointed Chairman of the Committee.
He served in this capacity until 19 May 2009.
On 19 May 2009, by Presidential Order, the State Committee for Property Management was reorganized into the State Committee on Property Issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with Karam Hasanov appointed as Chairman.
By Presidential Decree dated 29 November 2019, he was appointed Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department for State Control Affairs within the Presidential Administration.
