Was born on June 1, 1987, in Baku. After graduating from Secondary School No. 27 in Khatai district of Baku with a specialization in English, she was admitted in 2004 to the “Special Talents Group” of the Faculty of International Economic Relations at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics and graduated in 2008 with honors.
After completing her bachelor’s degree, she enrolled in the master’s program in International Economic Relations within the Special Talents Group at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics in the same year and graduated with honors in 2010, earning her master’s degree.
In 2009, she completed the Project Evaluation and Risk Management course at Duke University (USA).

Since 2009, she has worked as an advisor in the Department for Cooperation with International Organizations at the Ministry of Economy.
From 2011 to 2015, she worked as a coordinator and senior advisor across several financial organizations.
Since 2015, she has been working as an Investment Analyst in the Financial and Economic Analysis Department at the Azerbaijan Investment Company.
Since 2014, Arzu Hajiyeva has been teaching at the International School of Economics and SABAH Groups.
She is currently a Senior Lecturer (0.5 FTE) at the Department of International Economics and Business at UNEC.
